RAJIV LAKHA
Rajiv Lakha was born in Pretoria South Africa. He launched his own YouTube channel in 2015 where he regularly uploads guitar covers as well as original compositions.
Rajiv started his music journey with piano at the age of 7, but by the time he was 13 he started to learn to play guitar, which is now his main instrument in composing his songs, he has also experimented with other instruments in his compositions. Rajiv’s passion for music has grown year on year. In high school he was in a cover band, Neverest, but continued to create music independently after the band split. One of his original compositions(listen “Sparked”) was played on the Roger Goode Show on the 5FM Afternoon Show. Feedback from this radio team was that the song would suit a Crime/Drama show.
Rajiv continues to produce music within the genre of alternative rock as well as softer, ambient music. He studied at the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Film and Television and Communication Studies. During his studying, he worked with a number of film students from the University of Witwatersrand. This work included providing instrumental songs for their short films. Rajiv has also worked with film editors in providing music for their edits(namely Arti Gopal, editor for Rapid Blue). Included in his music experience is live gigs at Railways Cafè and Industrial Coffee Works.
As a career goal Rajiv would like to write and produce(specifically intro and outro) music for shows in the similar genre as Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Dark and other Sci-Fi/Drama shows.

Rajiv has been posting guitar cover videos since 2015 where he shoots, mixes and edits his content for his channel. He has taken his experience from his Film Studies from the University of Johannesburg and applies them when crafting his videos. He has also worked with freelancers when shooting his videos.
PRODUCTION MUSIC
In 2020 Rajiv began working with Gallo Music Publishers by providing them with his own original compositions for the use of sync purposes. He is able to compose and produce in a variety of styles, however he mainly focuses on creating tracks that are suitable for Action, Thriller and Drama productions.
